Alejandro Mejia Andrade was born in Mexico City. He has a degree in Visual Arts from the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda," 2006
Alejandro Mejía is an artist who dialogues between sculpture, installation and drawing. In his themes he addresses aspects of symbols, physics, geometry, biology and technology to conceive works that question the perception of space and the image-time.
He has participated in multiple exhibitions inside and outside Mexico, among which are AMERIQUE, UNE VISION CONTEMPORAINE at the André Derain gallery (Orleans, France, 2008); LA BED at the El Eco Experimental Museum (Mexico City, 2015); MAP OF THE NEW ART / MEXICO: THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini (Venice, Italy, 2015); ACME ROOM NO. 4 (Mexico City, 2016).
